Об одном чешском замке

Замков в Чехии тысячи и Карлштейн только один из них. Карлштейн (Karlstejn, Карлув Тын), вероятно, далеко и не самое мощное оборонительное сооружение средних веков в Чехии, зато весьма знаменитый и широко посещаемый исторический объект.

Замок строил Карл IV (настоящее имя Вацлав) – известный чешский  и германский король и император Священной римской империи. Строил он в период с 1348 по 1357 годы, а посещал и до 1376. Замок строился как резиденция и, в основном, как хранилище императорских регалий и святых чешских реликвий, в фортификационном плане его местоположение и защитные функции построек имели весьма второстепенное значение. Но как оказалось, желающие захватить замок были, и он несколько раз подвергался осадам. Этому как раз и способствовало размещение в замке святынь и реликвий, которыми всяк хотел поживиться.

Следует отметить, что Карл IV, любил строить и построил он много, в том числе и несколько крепостей. Это и крепость Черрульо (Rocca del Cerruglio) в Монте-Карло (это не в княжестве Монако, а в итальянской провинции Лукка), и Богемские замки Радыне (Karskrone) и Кашперк (Karlsberg), да перестраивал и укреплял и сам Пражский град.

Карлштейн построен на 72-метровой известковой скале над речкой Бероунка (не очень полноводная), в 28 км юго-западнее столицы. Бероунка, левый и самый большой приток Влтавы, над которой и стоит Прага.

Скала, на которой построен замок, позднее получила название Горы священника.

Замок построен из ряда отдельно стоящих обособленных башен (донжонов) каждая их который несет на себе оборонительные функции и соединена с соседними строениями защищенными переходами по земле или по воздуху. Здания замка расположены ступенчато. Комплекс верхнего замка образуют Большая башня, Марианская башня, императорский дворец. Каждое последующее сооружение замка расположено ниже предыжущего. Все постройки, даже частично императорский дворец имеют по верху заборола и вполне приспособлены для обороны, в том числе навесной. Большая башня расположена на вершине скалы и соединена воздушным переходом с Марианской башней, которая в свою очередь, связана с дворцом, находящейся ниже по склону. Большая башня имеет не менее 60 метров высоты, 6 этажей и в плане прямоугольные размеры не менее 25х17 метров, толщина стен различна и достигает 8 метра на северной стороне. Карлштейн начинал строиться, прежде всего, как резиденция и лишь позднее к нему стали относиться как стратегическому объекту, который должен иметь серьезную оборонительную силу. Именно тогда и оказалось, что место замка выбрано не совсем удачно и окружен более высокими холмами, позволяющими доминируя над ним, эффективно обстреливать его всеми видами существующих, на те времена, орудий, в том числе и огнестрельных. Поэтому северную стену Большой башни пришлось укреплять и делать из нее своеобразный щит для расположенных ниже строений. Стена толстая глухая и не имеет даже окон и бойниц и хорошо блокирует от обстрела Марианскую башню и императорский дворец с севера. Все строения окружены стенами, имеющими прямоугольные мерлоны и никаких дополнительных приспособлений для навесной стрельбы. Не часто, но в стенах встречаются бойницы, очень напоминающие подошвенные и конечно относящиеся не к XIV веку, а к более позднему периоду. Эти бойницы, правда, не имеют щек амбразур или чего-то подобного, делающего их приспособленными для стрельбы из огнестрельного оружия. Такой вид стен и башен, скорее всего, дань реставрационной активности конца XIX века, работ, выполненных под руководством профессора Венской академии художеств Ф.Шмидта и его ученика И. Моккера. Шутники, да и некоторые специалисты серьезно считают, что Карл IV не узнал бы свой замок после таких «восстановительных работ», – портландцемент, новый камень и свежий кирпич, прямо как у нас.

Нижний замок включает в себя бургграфство (бургграф, это в немецком стиле, персона назначаемая королем для обороны, управления гарнизоном и жителями, ведения всяких административных дел в городе или замке). Управление и оборону замка возглавлял лично бургграф, в подчинении которого находился гарнизон вассалов, имевших вокруг замка усадьбы и земляные наделы.

Нижний замок включает в себя кроме здания бургграфства, собственно двор, вторые проездные ворота в Часовой башне, к которым ведёт дорога от внешней проездной башни и чуть ниже отдельно стоящую Колодезную башню. Глубина колодца составляет 80 метров, механизм подъёма воды приводился в действие усилиями всего двух человек.

Ансамбль замка сейчас содержит несколько уникальных шедевров гражданского зодчества XIV века, являющихся предметами интереса посетителей.

В период гуситских войн в Карлштейне помимо римских императорских регалий хранились также сокровища чешских королей, вывезенные из Пражского Града и сокровища ближайших монастырей и замков, что сделало его интересным для завоевателей. Правда считается, что к моменту осады замка гуситами в первой трети XV века, регалии уже вывезли из замка в Прагу и Вену. Гуситы подходили к замку в 1421 году, но безуспешно. Позднее в 1427 году осада замка продолжалась 7 месяцев, но замок так и не был взят. На окружающих вершинах были построены батареи, следы которых заметны, как говорят, до настоящего времени Гуситы использовали и требуше, и даже бомбарды крупных калибров. В качестве снарядов применяли камни, зажигательные составы, на основе смолы и даже фекалий из пражских сортиров. В ходе осады было использовано 9022 каменных ядра, 22 бочки с горящей смолой и 1822 бочки с фекалиями. Пожар был предотвращен благодаря тому, что крыши башен были обтянуты негорючими мокрыми шкурами, а вот от фекалий замок, скорее всего, прошлось долго и серьезно отмывать. В период Тридцатилетней войны в 1620 году Карлштейн был осажден шведским отрядом, но осада была не очень интенсивной, и им также не удалось захватить замок. В 1436 году, во избежание нападений и лучшей сохранности, по приказу императора Сигизмунда, второго сына Карла IV, королевские сокровища были вывезены из Карлштейна. Все-таки следует считать, что замок как хранилище не оправдал своего назначении, хотя и не был взят неприятелем ни разу.

В XVI веке в замке были отведены помещения для хранения документов императорского архива. Далее замок начинает ходить по рукам и меняеть хозяев . Последним владельцем замка, до его перехода в государственную собственность в конце XIX века, является Градчанский (Градчаны – район Праги) пансион благородных девиц.

После не совсем правильной реставрации Юнеско не спешит включить замок в перечень Мирового культурного наследия, а по берегу Беруонки расположено немало «ржопиков», легких пулеметных сооружений, которых чехи построили до Второй мировой войны чуть ли не 10000 по всей стране.

Просто Орешек

Об этой крепости есть масса фундаментальных исследований, прежде всего, метра историка-археолога Анатолия Николаевича Кирпичникова, а уж бумажные книги и в сети о ней пишут совсем разные авторы. Крепость знаменита многим: тем, что построена в камне уже в середине XIV века, что вместе в Ямой была перестроена в несвойственном остальным северо-западным крепостям стиле в начале XVI (обе крепости имели цитадели), тем, что получила бастионы с полуодеждами в первой трети XVIII, тем, что многократно подвергалась осадам и почти век была во владении иностранного государства, а уж тюрьмой Российской империи она числилась почти два полных столетия. Поэтому компилировать не буду. Просто помещаю фотоотчет о самой последней поездке, начала августа 2012 года.
